Our Leadership
BRADY TESTORFF
Senior Pastor
Pastor Brady - a long-time resident of Platte City, MO - committed himself to sharing God's love with the community since he began in ministry as a Youth Pastor in 1998. His desire to foster an authentic love of God in people's lives through outreach and ministry eventually lead to the planting of The Calling Community Church on Father's Day in 2014 with a core team of men and women who want to see others experience the compassionate love of the Father and be transformed by His love.
In his spare time, you can find Pastor Brady enjoying a cup of coffee at Bee Creek, spending time with his wife, five children, and five grandchildren.
But ultimately, Pastor Brady's joy is greatest when he witnesses others discovering God's love and calling in their own lives. He is committed to loving God and loving others well each and every day of his life.
BETH NELAND
Director of Benevolence and Outreach
Beth and Tony were integral to The Calling even before it was established as a church. On the Sunday preceding the church's 2014 launch, 32 individuals congregated in their living room for prayer, worship, and offerings. The next Sunday marked our inaugural meeting at the YMCA, which has since become a significant part of our history.
Over the years, Beth has assumed numerous roles... There was a period when Beth could be spotted in a police uniform, her distinctive curly blonde hair making her stand out. However, after many years in law enforcement, she traded her badge for her Bible, retiring from public service to dedicate herself to full-time ministry for Jesus.
Beth not only manages the Benevolence and Outreach ministry but also mentors several women in the church and assists Pastor Brady as needed.
A Platte County High School alumna, Beth, along with Tony, resides just outside Platte City. Together, they have four adult children, four grandchildren, and an impressively large pack of dogs...
[Indeed, their canine family is quite extensive.]
Dave Reynolds
Worship Director
Dave grew up in the Kansas City Northland. He was always drawn to music, singing in both school and church choirs as well as playing in multiple bands over the years. Dave met his wife Jamie while attending college in 2000. She introduced him to Pastor Brady, who was serving as a Youth Minister at the time. Dave began serving under Brady's mentorship as a youth worship and small group leader.
Dave and Jamie, as well as their two sons, Jesse and Elijah began attending The Calling in early 2017 and Dave has served since then as a member of the worship and tech teams.
Dave and Jamie love spending time with their children and grandson, Tyler. Dave is an avid reader, loves movie trivia, and watching KC Chiefs football!
Dave brings a mix of styles to worship. Whether it is modern worship songs, choral music, or traditional hymns with a new flair, the goal is the same:
"I always want to approach worship from a place of humility and authenticity. This is not a performance, but rather a natural response to the amazing things the Lord has done, is doing, and WILL do in our lives."
JAMIE BAYER
Children’s Ministry Director
Jamie, her husband Erik, and their twin daughters Hope and Genevieve have been attending The Calling since 2020.
As a former Elementary school teacher and now a home-school mom, Jamie has a deep love for children and teaching. She has served in children's ministry since the age of 18, starting in the church where she grew up in Raytown, MO.
Jamie is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with children and watching them grow in their faith.
In her free time, Jamie is an avid reader and reviews books with her sister on Instagram and You Tube. Erik and Jamie enjoy hunting for fun items at thrift and antique stores. As a family they enjoy camping and traveling the country supporting and watching Erik run marathons!
KELLY RICHARD
Executive Assistant
Kelly has been at The Calling since 2019. Through the years she has served faithfully in many capacities. From greeting, helping with event organization, serving as point person for our CarePortal response, co-captaining Team World Vision, launching our FAM (Family Advocacy Ministry), to most recently using her organizational gifting in a more administrative capacity.
Kelly has a servant’s heart and is passionate about reaching the most vulnerable. It is her greatest desire to make sure people feel seen, heard, and valued. She is a big proponent of loving people in practical ways until they ask you why? Then you have earned an open door to share your heart for Jesus and His great love for them!
In her spare time, you will find her on the motorcycle or traveling with her husband, Bud. Bud and Kelly married in 1996 and have 2 adult children and a precious granddaughter. Depending on the time of year you may also find her in the garden, baking in the kitchen, crafting, quilting, or running (not on purpose, but for a purpose) all while blasting her worship music or listening to her favorite podcasts.
TRISH TESTORFF
Administrative Assistant
Trish grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Her faith was formed by faithful parents, a really great youth pastor and a solid upbringing at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
As a young adult she moved to the Kansas City area and worked as an administrative assistant for a few different companies. It was in these jobs that she honed her organization skills that make her a perfect fit for her role at The CCC.
Pastor Brady is the people person and she is the paper person. It was a match made in heaven! Actually it was an answer to a prayer as a young girl. Trish always knew that some day she would be married to a pastor.
She spends her weeks keeping track of Pastor Brady, plus all the office and calendar details. She has served her husband and the church faithfully since day one with a "whatever needs to be done" attitude.
In her spare time, she loves reading, worshipping, listening to podcasts, keeping up with her adult children, watching her grandchildren, walking her dogs Annie and Sonny, and being a friend and a confidant to ladies in the church.
